Books in the Home Packages

The NWT Literacy Council has developed additional resources to go with the Books in the Home program. We have developed lesson plans, handouts and activities to go with 10 books.

Each package contains:

  • Session Overview
  • Warm Up Activity
  • Parent Handouts
  • Literacy Action Plan
  • Activities related to the book

We picked a variety of books that were related to Aboriginal and Inuit culture and also some classic books like Love You Forever.
