Community Development

The Beaufort Delta Region are leaders in community development. The Gwich’in and Inuvialuit Self Government Office are concentrating their efforts on community development in order to build capacity of local people to move towards Self Government.

We recently delivered a workshop in Inuvik to all the Community Development and Field Workers in the Beaufort Delta region.

The workshop provided participants with an overview of literacy, program planning and proposal writing. This was a great opportunity for people in this region to come together to discuss community issues and make plans for literacy activities in their community.
