CBC hosted an awesome PGI kick-off at Javaroma in Yellowknife. Over 200 people came out to meet and putt against PGI celebrities Rick Mercer, Shelagh Rogers, Jonathan Torrens and George Tuccaro. Thanks to CBC for your great support.

Sponsor Recognition Night at Lucille’s

The NWT Literacy Council hosted an exciting and fun evening to thank the sponsors of the PGI. Around 80 people packed Lucille’s to meet celebrities and listen to some great music. Celebrities included Shelagh Rogers, Jonathan Torrens, Rick Mercer, George Tuccaro, Mike Stevens, Alison Gzowski and John Tees. Tracey Riley and Pat Braden joined in the fun and played some tunes.

Rick Mercer spoke eloquently about the North and said he would like to do a show called “Talking to Southerners.”

The crowd was treated to some wonderful music by Mike Stevens, George Tuccaro and John Tees. Everyone wanted their picture taken with the celebrities!
